Lake Boondooma Dam to reopen for day use only
29th April 2020
South Burnett Regional Council would like to advise that Lake Boondooma Dam will be open between 6am to 6pm daily from Saturday 2 May, 2020 for day use fishing and boating activities only.
Current social distancing guidelines and the requirement to stay within 50 kilometres of your home will apply to anyone visiting Boondooma Dam. Please note, camping is not permitted.
Members of the public are welcome to visit to have a picnic or conduct activities such as swimming, boating, skiing and fishing.
This decision follows the Queensland Government’s announcement to ease stay-at-home restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 public health crisis.
For those returning to the Dam, please read the signs, be aware of your surroundings and enjoy our waterways safely.
